I remember some years back it was reported that eating red meat increased prostate cancer. As a result we were told to reduce the amount of red meat we consume. Well now, several studies later it appears there was a flaw in the original data. They did not differentiate HOW the meat was cooked.
Two further reports have now concluded that cooking the meat well done (blackened) and now frying it appears to be the actual cause.
One study showed that only well done meat increased the risk. As long as it was not well done then there was not any increase over chicken or fish.
